The Mayor Stopped By... And Some Other Things!

It has obviously been a while (a long one) since I've posted but I'm back. I figured I'd just share a bunch of stuff so we can catch up. ;)

Let's see. So if you didn't know, I moved back to my hometown, OAKLAND, from Sacramento where I had been commuting from every weekend for the last 3.5 years... Long story. I won't go into it. But I'm back now and have been so busy that posts came to a screeching halt!

Oakland Girl Clothing, my hobby that I'm hoping will eventually become a full time business, has been doing well and gaining some notoriety. I had booths at Oakland's Art & Soul festival and the Laurel Street Fair, both events went well. Gained new contacts and made a little cash! My mom assisted me at the Laurel Street Fair and my girls were a HUGE help at the Art & Soul festival, helping keep my spirits up when things weren't going quite the way I expected. Although Mayor Quan breezed right by us at the Art & Soul festival, she made a point to stop by at the Laurel Street Fair and make a purchase. I thought that was nice of her. She even took pics with her own cam and posted on her Facebook page.

What else? I fell in love and changed my relationship status on Facebook. :D After reconnecting with my old friend from high school on Instagram, we set a date to meet up for drinks to catch up. We've been inseparable ever since. That was in May, we became official in September.

The picture above looks like we were being sexy but we weren't. Lmao. Typical. I was looking at myself in the mirror and trying not to fall. My honey makes sure I don't. :) That picture was from my 32nd birthday party at Manor West. My girls met me for dinner and drinks at Kincaid's then we crossed the bridge to party. Thanks again to my friends and family who made it one of the best parties ever! We tend to have a lot of fun for my birthday. ;)

My hair and makeup were done by Bo Jackson (A Hair Fetish Salon) and Latasha Payne (go see her at Sephora Bay Street). Outfit details - Top from Zara, Skirt from Forever 21 and earrings were custom made by my girl, Tiffany Stapleton, of Headbanger Accessories.  I actually had a very long birthday week! Here are a few more pics:

Lots of other stuff going on. I'll tell you more next time. Subscribe.

*Kisses*
