Rules for Gentlemen (And Ladies)
A friend of mine that I knew from college posted this picture on his Facebook that he'd seen at a bar in Atlanta I believe. We need to teach these rules in Oakland.
I made it bigger so you could read it better. Numbers 9 & 11 are my favorites...
Know your limits and learn how to handle your liquor. *kisses* ;)

MOVIE: Maltese Falcon at the PARAMOUNT
The Maltese Falcon is one of my Dad's favorite movies. He played it for the family once when I was younger and though I initially had zero interest in some "old black and white", it turned out to be really good! So I think I'll make it a point to get down to the Paramount and see it on the big screen. You should come too.

THE MALTESE FALCON

Box Office opens @ 6:00pm | Doors open @ 7:00 | Curtain rises @ 8:00pm
All Tickets: $5.00 (ticket prices include facility fee)
THE MALTESE FALCON (1941) - A dastardly crew of crooks is in pursuit of a gold and jewel-encrusted statue of a falcon worth a king's ransom. But when private eye Sam Spade (Humphrey Bogart) gets involved, the stakes shift dramatically. This first motion picture directed by John Huston also featured Bogart's first starring role in a Warner Brothers film and is indisputedly one of the finest film-noir classics of all time. The movie script follows the original Dashell Hammett novel almost word-for-word and the cast delivers their lines with such panache, it seems impossible to imagine any other actors in these roles. Nobody can toss off Sam Spade's sneering tough-guy wisecracks like Bogart. What actress other than Mary Astor as the conniving Brigid O'Shaughnessy could lie so seductively? And, of course, Sydney Greenstreet, Peter Lorre, and Elisha Cook, Jr. play their villainous roles to absolute sinister perfection.

Sorry I had to...
My favorite musical just gave me another reason to love them! :D TOGETHER, they've reached billion dollar status. And I love it.
From TheYBF:
From TheYBF:
According to International Business Times, Shawn Carter & Beyonce Knowles Carter are the first couple in music to join the billion dollar club with their joint incomes.;) Love them.
The dual 2013 VOGUE cover girl is reportedly set to rake in $116 million on her Mrs. Carter World Tour. And in addition to that rumored $50 mill Pepsi campaign and multi million dollar H&M campaign, Beyonce helped pushed the couple's joint money power across that billion dollar mark this year.
Jay is super successful in his own right, of course, constantly topping FORBES richest Hip Hop artists lists and his stakes in beauty companies, music companies and sports teams. And now, pending his approval from the NFLPA commission, he's about to start funneling NFL clients into his own Roc Nation sports agency, with the help of CAA.
FORBES' highest paid celebrity couple of 2012 is now our first billionaire couple in music. And since we doubt either of them are about to stop raking in money anytime soon, Blue Ivy and her great grandchil'ren are already set for life!
Marriage can be one of the best business deals in the game, especially when the love seems genuine as well. Can't be mad at that.
MUSIC: Dru Hill at Yoshi's Oakland - MAY 16
Like the flyer says... "Everybody's favorite 90's R&B Group!" Dru Hill ("featuring Sisqo" is in town! (With one stranger. I don't recognize dude sitting on the left.) Although I think everybody's favorite was Jodeci. ;)
But really... lol @ "featuring Sisqo". Who was better? Dru Hill or Jodeci? Or Jagged Edge?!

RECIPE: Roasted Brussel Sprouts with Balsamic Reduction
I've developed a love of brussel sprouts after trying them at a few of Oakland's new restaurants and the best I had were in Walnut Creek. I've made them at home once since then and they weren't as exciting. I just found another recipe that I'm going to try out asap! Get the recipe after the break.
