Sooooo, I keep hearing my friends buzzing about $5 movies.. $5 movies.. Like actually IN a theater.. Not pirated, bootleg copies. I did a little investigating on my own and found First-Run discount movies at the Regal Jack London Cinemas! Sundays and Tuesdays new movies are $5 per person! Another reason to love Oakland...

My business partner and I hosted a fundraising event at the theater last year. The staff was very helpful, accessible and easy to work with. The theater itself has been kept up well, it first opened when I was in high school, at the time Jack London Square was a hot spot. Maybe the Cool Kids can bring it back.. ;) I WILL be in the building ASAP to catch some $5 movies on Sundays! See you there!
